How can I get a Land Loan?

Land loans traditionally require larger down payments and are accompanied with shorter loan terms, typically 2 – 10 year loan terms.  Land is a tricky commodity because although it has great value there is a great cost to develop the land into something useful.

Local Community Banks (think of a small, locally owned and operated non-wall street bank) tend to be the best places to obtain traditional lot loans and if you are a Real Estate Investor, consider Private and/or Hard Money Lending as we at Blink Lending love lending to investors who are buying lots and/or land.

Installing utilities such as water, electricity and plumbing to a track of land can be expensive and risky which is why land loans can be harder to access than lot loans.
